Blessed are the Poor in Spirit
There are a couple of images for a poor in spirit way of being, where both have the sword of the spirit represented: one is broken and shattered but used still as a weapon to cut in desperation, the other is glued together by the person’s justification for the battles they do on behalf of their faith. Blessed are the poor in spirit because no matter which scenario the Kingdom of Heaven can Love you through it. My hope for this article is to help you find the Way to healing your spirit so your sword of spirit isn’t used in battle.
The journey to rise up and to know how to anchor Wisdom below our feet, in the value that is known as worthy, to represent a symbol of understanding we can have within our foundations of life. If we get good at doing this the sword used to battle another, is not used that way. In fact we may just find ourselves putting down the sword and allowing Love and Light show us how to be love and light without a battle.
Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Matthew 5:3
The poor is spirit is a perspective one can sit with, no matter where they are in their journey. A priest can be considered poor in spirit in relation to God Himself. How he or she chooses to lean upon the Kingdom of Heaven and receive message of Love and Light is being blessed. The same is true for a factory worker that has felt down trodden or may have a poverty with the love they know for any reason within their life. Where we are as individuals within our life is our perceptions for whom we are. Being poor in spirit isn’t battle worthy; it is Love worthy.
Blessed are the Poor in SpiritĀ
Let’s set this off on a blessed beginning and shine light upon the battle and the support we get to trust always. Jesus said,
Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. Matthew 5:11
The verse does go on to show one perspective that many believers stand upon knowing that they are supported. I want show another. Jesus is the answer for that battle, not the reason necessarily. This means don’t assume you are persecuted or being persecuted by another because of a faith or lack their of being perceived. The words cut the spirit, no matter whom said them. It was their sword swinging at you and quite possibly yours at them.
There is a strong belief that we need to hold a sword to battle ourselves or another. We don’t. The alternative is to put down the sword and try to learn about the Love and learn from the Light. When we do this we become a version of such.
One of our common purpose on Earth is to be the salt of the Earth and Light. How that looks for one, versus another can be seen with value and worth, or a battle in justification.
You are the Salt of the Earth if
To be salt of the Earth is to know what aspects represent being so. I did a video recently about the energy within Himalayan salt and what it may represent for personal growth.
If you are intentionally choosing to live life within these aspects of wanting to know Love and Light, so you can represent a higher version of love and light than you’ve had before, then you choosing to hand over the sword and let Love and Light show you how to be the change for yourself; for your life. Being in battle trying to represent being the salt of the earth is using your sword to slice others, when Jesus can Love you and them without a battle. Don’t strip away your salt, your love, your spirit. When you do this you get hurt.
You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men. Matthew 5:13
Being a representative of the salt of the Earth is knowing love within your life. It is choosing to understand where love is within your life, and how you are reflecting Love by knowing how it feels to receive it and lean upon it. I talked this version of being within valuing love as it is. When you can do this and begin to send love such as this into various parts of your life, and within yourself to know the flow of being Guided this is knowing the energy of the salt of the Earth.
When you are choosing to be in flow, you know when to run within goals and passions in life, and when to rest and be. Both are productive for your health and wellbeing. You are also participating within allowing the living waters to nourish the seeds of abundance within your life. This is done knowing you have balance within your protective boundaries.
Do not hand over the life of your dove to wild beasts. Psalm 74:19
There is a natural electrolyte signal that supports our health and wellbeing when salt is bringing balance within our physical life. How we are choosing to be in balance and honor boundaries may have the salt we are consuming not work, with the salt we are representing, because the way we are being the salt of the Earth is lacking flavor. When do this we in battle and if it happens consistently enough the sword shatters within us.
Standing within another’s boundaries is invading their bubble of peace. The Lord and His Guidance that he asks to be brought in will help you, if you allow them, to stop doing so before you get there. Being in resistance to a Divine Action such as this is opening yourself to harm done. The salt of your life and your spirit isn’t gone in my opinion, it just may be an eroded version of it. The waters used were emotional from individual self, not the living waters that would nourish and grow roots from a seed of abundance. Being closed to resistance may still have variations of free will limiting abundance, this is a poverty of love within you taking hold of your own light, in part, out of fear.
If you are willing to nourish life to be more of a representation of salt, the journey is to explore the level of resistance and to find the Divine Action that will help let Love and Light show you how to be within a balanced version of love. The regulating version of love within your life will flow if you do this. The manifestations for abundance will be easier to understand the more you choose to be the salt of the Earth.
Let Your Light Shine by
The journey within rising is to love the abundance within a valley and upon a mountain. When we get good at receiving Love and Light through both types of adventures we find ourselves being a light upon a hill. The journey never stops there, and if you are willing to leaning Light within your own love for your journey, you will know what this means.
You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. Matthew 5:14
When we struggle and are intentionally trying to make our yard of life look pretty on the outside, without realizing if we let our life grow and be nourished with seeds that support the grasslands of life, we get to shine our light in ways that are nurturing within a magnified abundance the Lord knows is possible. This is allowing Light to flow through us and support the love we have for our life. This is a message represented within Psalm 37, and in these versus of trust we are asked to Trust in the Lord, do good, and dwell within the abundance He provides through our own faithfulness within.
If you see this within your life, the happiness you have for your light being seen is a blessing the Lord knows for the world. This is the Law of Happiness working within your life for you and many others in magnified ways of being.
Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He shall give you the desires of your heart. Psalm 37:4
Cutting grass to make things look pretty in life, is you essentially desiring to use those intentions to weave a basket that hides your light. This is pretending to be something for a justified reason, when you can be you without hiding whom you are. When you get good at this, you will find ways through valleys and mountain, intentionally choosing to be better.
Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven. Matthew 5:15-16
When you love your life enough to not be weighed down in burdens, you get good at leaning into Light to know what it can do for you. Knowing this and then being guided in Love to represent this in unique ways of being that fit you, is allowing yourself to let your light shine.
Put Down Your Sword and Shield
The Lord showed me a few years back how the spiritual community had begun swinging their swords and hiding behind their shields. The battles in justifications of knowledge and being, had people isolate themselves and feel it was part of the journey. When you sit within a memory of a battle that was, and seek the Lord in those moments, He is watching and trying to cut through the battle with His Love. The actions of your individual self in those moments didn’t see this. The Love you may feel if you choose, in this moment, is to recognize the grace and compassion as you are capable of handing the Lord your sword and shield.
The battle doesn’t need to be. The value and worth of whom you are within your individual journey and whom another is for theirs is far more worthy than any battle that was, is, or hopefully won’t become. Blessed are the poor in spirit, as they will know the kingdom of heaven. The Love and Light that nourished the soul through these moments is a blessing worthy of receiving.
When you find yourself noticing someone cutting your grasslands of abundance, believing you need your life to look a specific way, seek Love and Light to help you be nourished and balanced without being in battle. Some may see you with a lampshade dimming your light, but for those that fit the covenant being presented for the world, you may have had a basket woven for you so your little baby self was placed within it. Let the Lord part the waters of your life, and show you the mountain to climb. Let Him show you the shelter for your inner peace in the crevice of your mountain. When you can do this you will be sure footed in life; you will have less battles within and around you, and you will know the value and worth of Love and Light.
Remember, it doesn’t matter how long you’ve known the power of the Kingdom of Heaven, for everyone is blessed to be poor in spirit in comparison to the One that creates creation. No matter what is going on in life, blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. In others words, when in struggle, lean upon the kingdom of heaven and receive the Love and Light you need to nourish that poor part of you.
